Motorola has launched the moto g max in India, strengthening its play in the competitive ₹25,000–₹30,000 smartphone market with a focus on premium design, photography, performance and battery endurance. The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant is priced at ₹27,999, with a ₹1,000 instant bank discount taking the effective price to ₹26,999. The phone goes on sale from August 20 through Flipkart, Motorola.in and retail outlets.
The device features a Luxury Satin-inspired finish in PANTONE Stargazer, Alaskan Blue and Malaga, along with a 6.72-inch Full HD+ 120Hz display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, while its imaging system combines a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 main camera, 8MP ultra-wide lens and 32MP selfie camera.
A key selling point is its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, claimed to provide up to three days of usage, supported by 33W TurboPower charging. The phone also offers Gorilla Glass 7i, MIL-STD-810H durability, IP64 water resistance, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and Android 16, with two Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The launch adds another strong option to Bhubaneswar’s active mid-premium smartphone market, where consumers have access to a broad network of mobile retailers and increasingly compare devices on battery capacity, camera performance, processing power and design. Motorola’s ₹26,999 effective price positions the moto g max competitively for buyers seeking premium features without moving into flagship pricing.
Motorola is also offering a Jio package comprising 5,000GB Google Cloud storage, an 18-month Gemini Pro subscription and 15 premium OTT services for ₹200, subject to terms and conditions.
