Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea Limited, has partnered with Cisco to strengthen its Hybrid SD-WAN portfolio, as enterprises increase investments in cloud adoption, distributed operations and AI-ready digital infrastructure.
The partnership brings together Cisco Meraki’s secure multi-WAN capabilities and Vi Business’ nationwide managed connectivity, offering enterprises a combination of SD-WAN, security and multi-cloud integration. Vi Business launched its Hybrid SD-WAN solution in 2023, supporting connectivity through leased lines, broadband and cellular networks.
The economic opportunity is significant, with industry estimates cited by the company projecting India’s SD-WAN market to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 20.5% to USD 14.6 billion by 2031. The expansion is being driven by enterprises seeking flexible network infrastructure that can support cloud-based applications, distributed workplaces and increasing security requirements.
Cisco Meraki’s platform provides a single dashboard for application and performance-aware routing, security, Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Vi Business adds proactive monitoring, lifecycle management, end-to-end support and a single point of contact under a fully managed service model.
The model also reduces the need for upfront capital expenditure and allows enterprises to scale networking capacity as requirements evolve.
M P Sunil Kumar, Chief Enterprise Business Officer, Vodafone Idea Limited, said the collaboration would simplify network operations and enable centralised management. Ashok Shivashankar, Managing Director, Partner Organization, Cisco India & South Asia, said the partnership would improve agility, scalability and operational efficiency while supporting digital transformation.
