Skoda Auto India records highest-ever H1 sales with 38,894 units in 2026

Skoda Auto India has announced its strongest-ever half-yearly sales performance, reporting 38,894 units sold during the first half of 2026, up 7.5 per cent from the corresponding period last year. The achievement marks the company’s second consecutive record-breaking first half, building on its biggest-ever annual performance in 2025, when it sold 72,665 vehicles, registering 107 per cent year-on-year growth.

Announcing the milestone, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said the record sales reflect growing customer confidence in the brand, supported by a focused product offensive, customer-first initiatives and a commitment to delivering a superior ownership experience. He said the new Kushaq, updated Kodiaq and all-new Kodiaq RS have received an encouraging market response, with the Kodiaq RS selling out within six minutes of launch. The Kylaq continues to contribute significantly to overall volumes, while the Slavia remains a key pillar of the company’s sedan portfolio. As part of its expansion strategy, Skoda Auto India has increased its network to more than 340 customer touchpoints across 189 cities and recently introduced Skoda Express Care to enhance service accessibility, transparency and convenience. The company also highlighted its motorsport heritage after its Slavia Monte Carlo, Kushaq Monte Carlo, Kylaq, Kodiaq and limited-edition Octavia RS set an India and Asia Book of Records for the fastest multi-car relay by a single manufacturer at the CoASTT circuit in Coimbatore, completing the challenge in a total lap time of 12:30.97.

Globally, Skoda Auto delivered over 1.04 million vehicles in 2025 and continues to expand across strategic growth markets, including India, Vietnam and the ASEAN region, while pursuing its Next Level Skoda Strategy under the Volkswagen Group. In Siliguri, the company’s expanding national sales and service network is expected to support greater penetration in North Bengal. With rising demand for premium SUVs and executive sedans among urban buyers, entrepreneurs and tea industry professionals, models such as the Kylaq, Kushaq, Slavia and Kodiaq are well placed to gain traction. Improved connectivity and stronger after-sales support are also likely to enhance Skoda’s competitiveness in the Siliguri market.
