Mahindra’s BLAZO i-TRK targets lower logistics costs and higher returns for India’s freight sector

Mahindra Truck and Bus, part of the Mahindra Group, has launched the BLAZO i-TRK, positioning the new heavy commercial vehicle as a business-focused product aimed at improving earnings, productivity and cost efficiency for transporters and fleet operators. The company estimates that the BLAZO i-TRK can deliver up to 10% better fuel efficiency and potentially generate up to ₹15 lakh in additional profit per truck over five years. The proposition is built around three areas — “Earn More, Run More and Control More” — reflecting the growing importance of fuel costs, vehicle uptime and fleet intelligence in the freight business.

The truck is powered by a 7.2-litre, 320 HP mPOWER engine producing 1,100 Nm torque between 1,100 and 1,700 rpm. TurboMAXX, OptiFuel and AI-powered iFuelSmart automatic drive mode are designed to improve fuel utilisation and reduce operating costs. Mahindra has introduced an industry-first 48-hour Uptime Guarantee, offering eligible customers ₹10,000 per day if the vehicle is not restored within the committed timeframe. Its Parts Supply Guarantee covers 250 critical parts, while the service network includes Quick Service Points within 75 km on national highways and 50 km on state highways.

The iMAXX 2.0 platform adds remote AC management, vehicle crank inhibit, predictive alerts, FleetSense reports and ScoreMAXX driver analytics. The Now24x7 app further digitises service management, roadside assistance, spare-parts ordering and breakdown tracking. Vinod Sahay, President–Trucks & Buses and Executive Chairman–SML Mahindra, said technology, reliability and operational efficiency would increasingly determine competitiveness in India’s freight and logistics sector. The range will be offered across variants and applications in three colours.
