Siliguri, October 16: Ampere, the electric mobility brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has expanded its retail and service presence in Siliguri with the opening of a new Experience Centre, Raj Automobiles, at Ghugamali Main Road. The expansion coincides with the festive season and the introduction of its ‘Bharat Ki Smart Ride’ portfolio, featuring the Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax with Intellipack.
The Nexus EX+ is powered by a 5 kW motor, while the Magnus GMax combines everyday practicality, connected technology and affordability. The Magnus Neo focuses on ergonomics and riding comfort, while the Reo Vyb targets younger consumers, including students and college-goers.
The Nexus EX+ and Magnus GMax variants offer more than 30 intelligent features through the Ampere Connect App, including cruise control, hill hold assist, Find My Scooter and turn-by-turn navigation. The portfolio is backed by next-generation lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology and a standard battery warranty of up to five years or 75,000 km.
Ampere said the Magnus GMax recently completed a nearly 4,000-km endurance ride in 15 days from Dong Valley in Arunachal Pradesh to GuharMoti in Kutch. The Nexus platform has also traversed Kolli Hills’ 70 hairpin bends and reached Shipki La Pass at 13,200 feet.
In Siliguri, the new centre could strengthen local access to electric two-wheelers and ownership support. The city’s role as a commercial gateway to North Bengal and neighbouring regions offers scope for EV adoption among daily commuters and price-conscious buyers.
