The Maruti Suzuki Fronx, launched in India in 2023, has quickly become one of the brand’s popular models and a strong player in the compact SUV segment. Now, Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the 2026 Fronx facelift in India. Here’s what we know so far about the expected design, features and powertrain updates.
The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift has recently been spotted testing on Indian roads for the first time. Based on the spy images, the upcoming model is expected to retain the overall silhouette of the current Fronx. However, it could receive redesigned front and rear bumpers along with a revised grille. Apart from these updates, the facelift is likely to continue with a design similar to the existing model.
While the exterior changes are expected to be limited, the 2026 Fronx facelift could get several new features. One of the biggest additions is expected to be a Level 2 ADAS suite. The test vehicle was spotted with an ADAS module, along with a new 360-degree camera and additional front parking sensors. Other expected upgrades could include a larger touchscreen infotainment system, more premium upholstery, a redesigned steering wheel and other cabin enhancements.
The upcoming Fronx facelift could also receive some changes to its powertrain lineup. Interestingly, the test mule was spotted with an all-wheel-drive system, suggesting that Maruti Suzuki could introduce an AWD option with the facelift.
However, the Fronx is expected to continue with its existing 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 80hp and 113Nm of torque, while the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generates 99hp and 147Nm of torque.
