Jaipur Literature Festival (JLF), presented by Vedanta, will celebrate its landmark 20th edition from January 14 to 18, 2027, marking two decades of literary exchange, cultural dialogue and multilingual storytelling. Supported by the Government of Rajasthan, the festival has evolved since its inception in 2008 from a gathering of writers and readers in Jaipur into a globally recognised platform for books, ideas and conversations.
Over the years, JLF has hosted more than 8,000 writers, speakers and artists, attracted over five million on-ground visitors and reached an estimated digital, broadcast and media audience of more than one billion. The festival has also expanded internationally, with more than 15 editions across countries including the US, UK, Canada, Spain, Australia, the Middle East, Maldives and Ireland.
The 20th edition, themed “20 Years of Ideas.Stories. Conversations.”, will focus on literature and interconnected subjects including history, politics, science, economics, philosophy, arts, health, migration and the environment. Its multilingual programming will include the Bhasha Swarmala series, with the anniversary announcement released across all 22 official Indian languages.
