Tom Holland-starrer Spider-Man: Brand New Day witnessed its first major decline on Monday after a record-breaking opening weekend in India. Despite the weekday slowdown, the Marvel superhero film is moving closer to the ₹300 crore net collection milestone in the Indian market.
According to Sacnilk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day earned an estimated ₹23.80 crore on Day 5. The film was screened across 16,874 shows in India on Monday. With this, its total India net collection has reached approximately ₹281.75 crore, while the gross collection stands at around ₹336.91 crore. The film recorded a sharp drop of nearly 69.4% compared to Sunday’s collection of ₹77.75 crore. However, despite the dip, the movie continues to maintain a strong hold at the box office and is expected to enter the ₹300 crore net club soon.
The English version remained the biggest contributor to Monday’s earnings, collecting around ₹12.50 crore from 7,534 shows. The Hindi version followed with approximately ₹8.75 crore from 7,140 shows. The Tamil version earned around ₹1.50 crore, while the Telugu version contributed nearly ₹1 crore. The Kannada and Malayalam versions collected around ₹2 lakh and ₹3 lakh, respectively.
Within days of its release, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is reportedly said to have crossed the $1 billion mark globally. Trade analysts believe the film has the potential to move towards the $1.5 billion worldwide milestone, supported by strong audience demand and additional IMAX screenings.
