Sensex & Nifty surged by 4% the announcement of ceasefire agreement

The markets maintained gains throughout the session, supported by broad-based buying, marking the fifth consecutive day of gains and the highest single-day gain for both indices since May 2025. In the Sensex pack, 27 of 30 companies saw gains, with Indigo rising 8.2%, Larsen and Toubro up 7.6%, and Bajaj Finance increasing by 7%. Conversely, Tech Mahindra fell 1.5%, Sun Pharma dropped 0.3%, and PowerGrid decreased by 0.2%.
