Several districts of Arunachal Pradesh are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms from September 22, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
A bulletin issued by the Meteorological Centre in Itanagar said thunderstorms accompanied by rain are likely in Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Papum Pare and Anjaw on Tuesday.
The weather activity is expected to continue in some parts of the state on September 23. According to the IMD, Upper Siang, Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley and Lohit districts are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms on Wednesday.
The forecast comes as parts of Arunachal Pradesh continue to experience weather activity during the late monsoon period. Residents and travellers in the affected districts may experience temporary changes in weather conditions during the forecast period.
The IMD has, however, indicated that rainfall activity is likely to decline from September 24. No weather warning has been issued for any district of Arunachal Pradesh for that day, according to the bulletin.
The Meteorological Centre has advised residents in the affected districts to remain alert and regularly follow weather updates and advisories issued by the authorities.
