Intex Technologies is expanding its Home Appliances portfolio across fans, water heaters and small domestic appliances, seeking to strengthen its position in India’s fast-growing consumer durables market. The expansion comes on the back of an 80% year-on-year growth in the company’s Consumer Durables business in FY26, led by robust demand for Smart TVs, air conditioners and washing machines.
The company, which has an established presence in air coolers, will introduce decorative, energy-efficient BLDC, exhaust and TPW (Table, Pedestal and Wall) fans. It is also entering the water heater segment with storage and instant geysers in different capacities. Its expanded small domestic appliances range will include irons, mixer grinders, juicer mixer grinders, air fryers, electric kettles and cooktops, focusing on design, functionality and reliability.
Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, said the expansion would enable the company to address a wider range of household needs while delivering quality, reliability and value at accessible price points. He said the business could become an important growth driver for Intex in the coming years.
In Siliguri, the wider portfolio could help Intex tap rising appliance demand across North Bengal and neighbouring Tier II and Tier III markets, supported by its retail partnerships, distribution network and after-sales service capabilities.
Intex said rising household incomes, increasing appliance penetration beyond metros and preference for trusted brands continue to support the sector’s growth.
