Ai+ Smartphone has announced Project Trust+, a long-term security initiative backed by an investment of ₹100 crore over five years to build what it describes as India’s safest smartphone ecosystem through community participation. The company will invest ₹20 crore annually to encourage ethical hackers, independent security researchers and developers to identify vulnerabilities and help strengthen the security of its devices before they impact users.
The initiative is designed to move beyond conventional bug bounty programmes by creating an open and collaborative platform where the technology community can actively test Ai+’s systems, evaluate its security architecture and contribute to continuous improvements. The company said the programme reflects its belief that smartphone security is an evolving process requiring transparency, collaboration and public accountability.
Commenting on the launch, Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone and Founder of NxtQuantum Shift Technologies, said the company wants to prove, rather than merely claim, the security of its products. He noted that no technology ecosystem can consider security a finished destination and that Project Trust+ reinforces Ai+’s commitment to building trust through collaboration with India’s developer and cybersecurity community.
The initiative also strengthens the company’s broader focus on privacy, transparency and user ownership, which form the foundation of NxtQuantum OS, India’s first sovereign mobile operating system. The announcement is expected to generate interest across Siliguri’s growing smartphone market, where demand for secure and privacy-focused devices is steadily increasing among consumers, professionals and businesses. Retailers and channel partners believe initiatives centred on transparency and cybersecurity could improve consumer confidence, while strengthening the appeal of Indian technology brands as buyers increasingly prioritise data protection and trusted software ecosystems alongside performance and affordability.
