In a meaningful gesture of solidarity and humanitarian brotherhood, members of the Sikkim relief team are currently in Nepal to extend support to people affected by the devastating floods in Rasuwa and other affected areas.
The team is contributing to the ongoing rescue and relief efforts and is reaching out to families who have been displaced by the floods. As part of the relief initiative, the team is visiting Nepal Buddha Dharma Sewa Sang (Yellow Gumba), Kathmandu, where families affected by the Rasuwa floods have taken shelter.
The team will hand over essential relief materials and extend support to the affected families, reaffirming Sikkim’s commitment to standing with its neighbours during times of hardship.
Speaking on the occasion, members of the relief team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Prem Singh Tamang, for his compassionate leadership and for extending assistance to the people of Nepal beyond geographical boundaries.
The initiative reflects a strong message of humanity, compassion, solidarity and brotherhood between Sikkim and Nepal.
The team said that relief efforts are not merely about providing essential materials, but also about offering hope, strength and emotional support to families facing difficult circumstances.
The Sikkim relief team conveyed its solidarity with all those affected by the floods and offered prayers for their safety, recovery and well-being.
“In times of hardship, humanity knows no borders. Sikkim stands with Nepal,” a team member said.
