IndiGo Passengers Hit by Repeated Website and App Issues

IndiGo’s website faced another disruption on Friday, preventing passengers from booking flights and displaying a “no data available” message, marking the second online service outage for India’s largest airline this week. The cause of the latest disruption was not immediately clear, while the airline did not respond to requests for comment. Passengers in several cities reportedly faced difficulties booking tickets, with some users also unable to log in to the IndiGo app. Complaints about failed bookings, web check-ins and payment confirmations were also reported on the airline’s social media handle. On Wednesday, IndiGo had acknowledged intermittent problems with its core reservation platform and said it was working with a technology partner to restore services. The repeated disruptions come as IndiGo maintains a dominant position in India’s aviation market, holding a 67% share of domestic traffic in July. The airline has previously faced significant operational scrutiny, particularly after widespread disruptions in December last year that resulted in around 4,500 flight cancellations due to pilot roster-related issues. The latest technical problems have once again raised concerns among passengers about the reliability of IndiGo’s digital booking and reservation systems.
