Amazon Seller Services, the marketplace arm of Amazon in India, reported a 15.5 per cent rise in total income to ₹35,574 crore in FY26, compared with ₹30,805 crore a year earlier. The company also recorded a profit before interest and tax (PBIT) of ₹172 crore, marking its first positive PBIT in India after reporting positive EBITDA for the first time in FY25. Its loss after tax narrowed to ₹389.9 crore from ₹408.2 crore in the previous financial year. The improved performance comes as Amazon expands its investments across e-commerce, quick commerce, cloud and artificial intelligence in India. The company has announced plans to invest $48 billion in the country between 2026 and 2030, taking its cumulative investment since 2010 to more than $88 billion by the end of the decade. Amazon is also expanding its quick-commerce service, Amazon Now, which it says is its fastest-growing e-commerce business unit in India, with operations being extended to more than 300 cities. The financial results highlight Amazon’s growing focus on profitability while continuing to invest heavily in India’s rapidly expanding digital commerce and technology ecosystem.
