Arunodoi 3.0 August Payment Released Early Amid Flood Crisis In Assam

The Assam government has decided to release the financial assistance for the month of August in advance under the Arunodoi 3.0 scheme. At the same time, it has also announced a special assistance of ₹2,500 for women beneficiaries in the four districts worst affected by the recent floods.

The government stated that the decision was taken to reduce financial pressure across the state and to provide immediate support to flood-affected families. It expressed hope that this additional assistance will help families whose lives and livelihoods were impacted by the recent floods in recovery and in meeting daily expenses.

It may be noted that Arunodoi 3.0 is one of the flagship welfare schemes of the Assam government. Under this scheme, financial assistance is sent directly to the bank accounts of women heads of families, so that the financial condition of families becomes stronger and women become more financially self-reliant.

According to the government, women beneficiaries in the four worst flood-affected districts will receive ₹2,500 each this month. Other beneficiaries will also receive the fixed assistance for August in their bank accounts ahead of the scheduled date.

The government said that this step of releasing funds in advance will provide immediate relief to thousands of families across the state and will also play an important role in the post-disaster recovery process.
