The Cockroach Janta Party’s founder, Abhijeet Dipke, announced his diagnosis of typhoid but affirmed that it will not impact the nationwide movement for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. In a social media video, Dipke mentioned he has been unwell for several days and is undergoing treatment with intravenous medication. Dipke, despite his recent diagnosis of typhoid, expressed gratitude to CJP supporters for their ongoing peaceful protests.
He congratulated participants for the expansion of the movement and assured them that their main demand for Pradhan’s resignation would be achieved through persistent efforts. The CJP’s agitation against alleged irregularities in competitive examinations calls for improved accountability, extensive reforms to recruitment and entry tests, and the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The movement has garnered support from public figures like activist Sonam Wangchuk, who participated in a 26-day hunger strike starting June 28.
