Ultraviolette turns everyday fuel expenses into cashback for EV buyers

For thousands of two-wheeler riders feeling the pinch of rising petrol prices, every kilometre travelled has become more expensive. Seeking to ease that burden, electric vehicle maker Ultraviolette has launched a nationwide initiative that rewards riders for the distance they have already covered on their petrol-powered motorcycles while encouraging them to switch to electric mobility.

Under its ‘Kill the Petrol Bill’ programme, customers purchasing the Ultraviolette F77 or X-47 electric motorcycles will receive ₹1 cashback for every kilometre ridden on their existing two-wheelers over the past two years, with benefits of up to ₹30,000. A rider who has covered 20,000 km during the period, for instance, will be eligible for ₹20,000 in cashback. The company said owners of the F77 and X-47 can also save between ₹3,000 and ₹5,000 every month on fuel expenses.

Narayan Subramaniam, CEO and Co-founder of Ultraviolette, said the initiative is designed to make EV ownership more accessible while supporting Prime Minister NarendraModi’s vision of accelerating India’s transition to electric mobility. He said the programme offers customers lower running costs without compromising on technology, performance, reliability or the overall ownership experience. The company added that it continues to strengthen its position in the EV industry through product innovation, retail expansion, growing customer adoption and progress in international markets.

The programme could appeal to urban commuters and young professionals who rely heavily on two-wheelers for daily travel. Initiatives that convert past petrol usage into direct purchase benefits may encourage more consumers to consider premium electric motorcycles.
