Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured the technology and innovation mandate for New Terminal One at New York’s John F. Kennedy (JFK) International Airport, marking a significant milestone in the company’s global infrastructure portfolio. According to an exchange filing, TCS will design, implement, and manage the terminal’s digital ecosystem as part of the airport’s ambitious $19-billion redevelopment project.
Under the contract, TCS will deliver advanced passenger processing systems, enterprise applications, cybersecurity solutions, artificial intelligence-driven operations, and comprehensive IT infrastructure management. The technology platform will be built on TCS’ Cognix and ignio platforms, enabling real-time monitoring of passenger movement, baggage handling, and terminal security while improving operational efficiency for partner airlines.
New Terminal One is a key component of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s large-scale redevelopment of JFK Airport. The project includes the construction of two new terminals, upgrades to two existing terminals, a modern ground transportation hub, and a redesigned road network aimed at enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Jennifer Aument, Chief Executive Officer of The New Terminal One, said the partnership with TCS would help create one of the world’s leading airport terminals by delivering a transformational travel experience and setting new benchmarks in innovation and airport operations.
The contract further strengthens TCS’s position as a global technology partner for large-scale infrastructure projects and highlights its expertise in delivering digital transformation solutions for the aviation industry.
