TCS Secures Multi-Million Dollar AI Transformation Deal with Swedish Giant SKF

In a major boost to the Indian IT sector amid shifting technological landscapes, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has secured a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with Swedish industrial bearings manufacturer SKF. The partnership aims to completely modernize SKF’s global IT infrastructure and accelerate its transition into an AI-driven enterprise.

Under this extensive agreement, TCS will deliver end-to-end managed services across SKF’s applications, data systems, infrastructure, security, and global connectivity. The collaboration comes at a critical juncture for the IT industry, directly addressing market skepticism regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on traditional technology services by showcasing how AI can drive massive enterprise modernization.

Leaders from both organizations emphasized that the future of industrial manufacturing hinges on deep technological integration. K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, stated that the partnership will apply data-driven intelligence and AI to build an agile enterprise capable of adapting to market changes while supporting sustainable, long-term growth.

Echoing this sentiment, SKF Chief Executive Rickard Gustafson noted that the next decade of manufacturing will be defined by how deeply companies embed AI into their design, production, and service models. By leveraging TCS’s technical expertise, SKF aims to re-engineer its business processes and enhance its global competitiveness.

Following the announcement, TCS shares saw a marginal correction on the Bombay Stock Exchange, trading down 0.22 percent at ₹2,271.75, moving closely in line with a broader 0.13 percent dip in the benchmark index.
