Vi rolls out Rs 35 regional OTT pack, offers access to two platforms across nine languages

Vi has strengthened its regional entertainment portfolio with the launch of a Rs 35 add-on pack on its Vi Movies and TV app, offering eligible prepaid customers access to two regional OTT platforms of their choice from a selection of six services covering nine Indian languages.

The offering includes SonyLIV South for Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada content; Chaupal for Punjabi, Haryanvi and Bhojpuri entertainment; ManoramaMAX for Malayalam programmes; KLiKK and AddaTimes for Bengali content; and Aao NXT for Odia entertainment. The initiative aims to make regional OTT content more affordable without requiring customers to purchase individual platform subscriptions.

The mobile-only Rs 35 pack provides access to two selected OTT platforms for 28 days, along with 1GB of data valid for seven days. It is available to eligible Vi prepaid customers with an active service-validity recharge. Customers can recharge through the Vi App or third-party applications and activate the benefits by logging into Vi Movies and TV using their Vi number and selecting their preferred platforms.

In Siliguri, the pack could attract consumers looking for affordable Bengali entertainment through KLiKK and AddaTimes. Given the city’s diverse linguistic audience and its connectivity with neighbouring regions, access to multiple regional content libraries at a low price could strengthen the appeal of bundled digital entertainment services.

The launch reflects the growing commercial importance of regional-language content in India’s expanding OTT market.
