He claimed that significant progress has been made in the overall infrastructure development of the city under the Agartala Municipal Corporation in the last few years. At one time, various areas of the city would get submerged even in slight rain. Currently, due to the development of the drainage system, construction of covered drains, and renovation of main canals, the problem of waterlogging has been brought under control to a great extent.

He also mentioned that along with the restoration of various lakes and ponds in the city, the renovation and development of main roads starting from alleys have been done. To eliminate the problem of hanging electricity wires, work on laying underground power lines has started. The Chief Minister expressed hope that this would significantly reduce the risk of accidents.

He also highlighted the success of the municipal corporation in the expansion of solid waste management, health services, and digital services. According to him, a 50-bed hospital has been started at the initiative of the municipal corporation. To solve the traffic congestion problem in the city, an initiative has been taken to build a ring road centering Agartala. Besides, he also mentioned the inauguration of two housing towers under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for financially weak people.

The Chief Minister further stated that several developmental works like the construction of Unity Mall in Agartala, the establishment of a dental college, and the starting of a BSc Nursing course are progressing. He claimed that based on this record of development in the last few years, the BJP candidates of 51 wards will seek the support of voters in the upcoming municipal elections.
