Tally said the 2026 edition received over 58 per cent of nominations from Tier II and Tier III cities, introduced AI-led shortlisting for the first time and enabled entrepreneurs to submit video entries in native languages. Across six editions, the initiative has attracted more than 85,000 nominations, recognised over 1,000 MSMEs across seven countries, and recorded over 20 per cent participation from women-led enterprises.

The decision to host the East Zone edition in Siliguri reflects the city’s growing stature as a commercial and logistics gateway to North Bengal, the Northeast and neighbouring countries. Backed by a strong tea industry, expanding trading network and improving connectivity, Siliguri has emerged as a preferred destination for MSME investments and entrepreneurship. Recognition of a local enterprise at the event further highlights the city’s rising contribution to regional manufacturing and business growth, reinforcing its position as one of eastern India’s fastest-growing Tier II business centres.
