Vivek Agnihotri says he fired the lead actor because of his ‘arrogant’ manager: ‘Employee of a star kid talent agency of a big celeb’

Vivek Agnihotri said he had to fire the lead actor of his film because he was upset with his manager’s ego.
Vivek Agnihotri, who has previously helmed films like The Kashmir Files and The Vaccine War, recently accused X of firing the lead actor of his upcoming film because his manager was “arrogant”. Vivek shared this in response to a tweet by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, in which he talked about the increasing number of representatives of the same actor.
Mukesh’s tweet read, “Current state of the film industry: One actor, 200 casting directors and 15,680 managers.” Vivek replied to the tweet, “I had to fire a lead actor last week because his manager was too arrogant and behaved like he had the privilege to do so because he was an employee of a ‘very big celeb’ star kid talent agency. These middlemen have ruined more careers than they have made. Hold a workshop and train these kids, @CastingChhabra.”
Vivek did not reveal the names of the celebrities featured in his film. The director had already announced that his next film is The Delhi Files. It was hinted that the film would be the third part of a trilogy after The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files.
Vivek had earlier claimed in an interview that he does not like working with Bollywood stars as he considers them ‘stupid’.
Speaking to the Unscripted podcast, he said, “I am not saying this arrogantly, but honestly. I started to feel that the stars I work with are not educated and have no idea about the world. I am much smarter than them and my worldview is definitely better than theirs. So their stupidity was pulling me down. They are so stupid that they pull you down with them.” He further added, “Bollywood films are stupid because of their stars. The stars are so stupid that they make every director and writer look stupid.”
