Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched its REDX Family Plan in a strategic move to boost Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) and consolidate its presence in the high-value postpaid segment. Priced at ₹1601 per month for two members, the plan is the first in India to offer truly unlimited 4G/5G data and international roaming for all family members—primary and secondary—while bundling a host of premium digital and lifestyle services.
The plan includes OTT subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon Prime, JioCinema, and SonyLIV, four annual airport lounge accesses, Swiggy One membership, and a 7-day international roaming pack worth ₹2,999. Additional users can be added at ₹299 each, receiving equal benefits. With this offering, Vi aims to counter market saturation and declining margins in the prepaid sector by driving value through premium postpaid services.
Where digital adoption is accelerating among young professionals and families, the REDX Family Plan is poised to attract upwardly mobile users seeking seamless data access and entertainment bundling. The city’s growing demand for international connectivity and OTT services makes this a timely intervention by Vi. Economically, Vi’s strategy reflects a shift toward value-based differentiation to improve revenue stability in a highly competitive telecom landscape.
