UK Unveils Ban on Disposable Vapes by 2026

In a major step toward youth health protection, the UK government has announced that it will ban disposable vapes by 2026. The move follows rising concern over teenage nicotine use and environmental harm caused by plastic and lithium waste.

The new law will also tighten packaging regulations and restrict fruity flavors that appeal to minors. Similar discussions have begun in Bhutan and Bangladesh, where health authorities are observing vape usage trends among urban youth.

India, too, has already enforced a vape ban, and UK’s policy may offer a roadmap for regional efforts to implement stricter enforcement.
