Health Secretary Victoria Atkins said the colorful packaging and fruity flavors target minors, contributing to a 100% rise in underage vaping over the past three years. The new law also introduces stricter packaging norms and nicotine limits.
The move is sparking discussion in South Asian countries, including Bhutan and Nepal, where disposable vapes are gaining popularity among urban youth. Health experts suggest regional governments could consider similar actions.
