World Finance’s Sustainability Awards 2024 Turkish Airlines named “Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline”

Turkish Airlines has been honored as the “Most Sustainable Flag Carrier Airline” by World Finance for the third consecutive year. The award underscores the airline’s leadership in sustainability within the aviation sector, driven by initiatives like the CO2mission carbon offset platform, use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), sustainable in-flight products, and comprehensive waste management practices.

Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, commented, “This award reaffirms our unwavering commitment to sustainability. By 2050, we aim to be a Carbon-Neutral Airline, expanding our SAF-powered network and implementing sustainable practices across our operations.”Since 2008, Turkish Airlines has executed over 100 projects to optimize operations and reduce its carbon footprint, achieving significant fuel savings and emission reductions in 2023. The World Finance Sustainability Awards, highly regarded in global finance and business, recognize organizations excelling in environmental, economic, and social sustainability.
