Toyota Kirloskar strengthens road safety commitment, empowersover 10 lakh Indians

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is reinforcing its commitment to road safety with an impactful reach of over 10 lakh individuals across India. Central to TKM’s efforts is the Toyota Safety Education Program (TSEP), which educates schoolchildren from classes 5 to 9 on road safety. Since its inception in 2007, TSEP has engaged 9.3 lakh students in major cities like Bangalore, Delhi, and Mumbai, promoting awareness through creative initiatives such as skits, posters, and safety clubs.

Additionally, TKM’s Toyota Hackathon, which invites students from grades 7 to 12 to develop real-world solutions to road safety challenges, has produced over 350 actionable innovations. This initiative fosters problem-solving skills while addressing issues like traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

Growing concerns about urban traffic and road safety are paving the way for TKM’s programs. The city, witnessing rapid development and increased vehicular traffic, is an ideal candidate for the company’s road safety initiatives. Local schools and government bodies are eager to implement TKM’s educational campaigns to ensure safer roads for residents and the growing number of commuters.
