Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government of Maharashtra to explore establishing a Green Field Manufacturing Facility at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar. This initiative underscores TKM’s commitment to advancing green technology in India.
The MOU was signed by Dr. Harshadeep Kamble, Principal Secretary (Industries), Government of Maharashtra, and Sudeep Santram Dalvi, Director & Chief Communications Officer of TKM, in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Ministers Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. TKM’s leadership, including MD and CEO Masakazu Yoshimura and Vice Chairperson Manasi Tata, were also present.
The proposed facility aims to enhance TKM’s focus on advanced green technologies and significant job creation. This development is particularly exciting for the Itanagar market, where the introduction of cutting-edge automotive innovations will drive local economic growth and increase access to eco-friendly vehicles.
