The third Digital EWG meeting was held in Pune

The 3rd Digital Economy Working Group meeting concluded on 14 June 2023 in Pune. It saw deliberations on digital security, cyber security, securing Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI), and the digital economy. 10 discussion sessions on DPI were organized, with 60 global experts sharing their views. Attendees included 300 senior delegates, 150 foreign delegates, and international organizations.

 The last day of the meeting focused on digital skilling and security, as well as a presentation on the Toolkit for Cyber Awareness. India’s initiatives such as COWIN, Aadhaar Enabled Payment System, and Soil Health Card were showcased.

 The declaration will be finalized in the 4th Working Group Meeting in August 2023. The Government of Maharashtra organized a cultural program for G-20 delegates at Savitribai Phule Pune University, featuring authentic Maratha games and classical dance performances. On the sidelines of the meeting, G20 representatives discussed DigiLocker’s stall at meeting, including the Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT and the President of the National e-Governance Division.
