From today, Wednesday, the new price of Jyoti Alu has gone up to Rs 40 somewhere. Chandramukhi potato price was Rs 40 per kg on Saturday.Due to the same reason, its price increased to 43 rupees on Wednesday. And in rural Bengal, the price of this potato has reached 50 rupees. The middle class is eager to buy potatoes at the rate of 50 per kg.
On the other hand, it is claimed that potato trucks are being stopped at the border in foreign states. So the Progressive Potato Trade Association has called for a strike. Their strike has started since Sunday. Due to this, the supply of potatoes in the market has decreased. And suddenly the price of potatoes has also increased. The Chief Minister held a meeting on Tuesday after hearing about this situation. In the Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister made it clear that he will not tolerate any potato crisis. And as long as the price of potatoes in the state is not reduced, potatoes cannot be sent to foreign countries. Agriculture Marketing Minister Becharam Manna was tasked with resolving this matter by talking to traders.
But now the price of potato is touching 50 rupees in Kolkata as well.
