The Indian board took Dharamshala from Rashid and instead gave three other fields to Afghanistan

Afghanistan will play their home series again in India. Earlier, they used to play their home series in Dharamsala. This time the Indian Cricket Board gave Rashid Khan three grounds instead of Dharamshala.

According to a report from The Times of India, Afghanistan will be able to play their home series in Greater Noida, Indore, and Kanpur. First priority will be given to Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Stadium in Noida. For some reason it is not possible to play there; Rashid will play in a stadium between Indore and Kanpur.

Afghanistan stopped playing home series in India for four years. At that time, they were playing in Dubai. By the time in July, the Indian Cricket Board has given them permission again. After that, Afghanistan was scheduled to play a white and red ball series against Sri Lanka. But it was canceled due to Davda in North India.

Afghanistan will play a Test against New Zealand in September. Kane Williamson will play Rashid before the series against India. This is the first time the two teams will face each other in the test. This will be the first test at Noida Ground. Earlier, Afghanistan played five ODIs and three T20Is against Ireland there in 2017.

Afghanistan could not make it to the semi-finals last year due to a short and single-day World Cup. This time they played the semi-final of the T20 World Cup. It shows how much they have improved in white-ball cricket. Rashid wants to play well in redball cricket this time.
