On Saturday, an Army officer was arrested for allegedly being involved in a woman’s murder case he was posted as Public Relation Officer at Tezpur-based 4th Corps.
The accused is identified as Lt. Col Amrinder Singh Walia from Punjab and the deceased is identified as Bandana Shree hailed from Tamil Nadu.
According to the reports, the officer was for a long time relationship with the woman.
The body was dumped near NH 31 in a plastic bag. The body was recovered from Changsari in Kamrup district on February 15.
