Reach to Teach Foundation has launched a month-long Board Examination training program for teachers of Classes X and XII in Government schools in Arunachal Pradesh. The training aims to familiarize teachers with the Examinations and Beyond Tool Kit designed by Reach to Teach to support the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) in improving children’s performance in the Xth and XIIth Board examinations. The SCERT has also created a District Taskforce to review and monitor the Board Exam initiatives.
The training was conducted in collaboration with SCERT and was part of a three-year program to strengthen teaching and learning outcomes in the state. The training was held across all 26 districts in September and October, training 239 teachers in Maths, 227 in Science, 191 in English, 49 in Maths, 40 in Physics, 40 in Chemistry, and 38 in Biology.
The program was launched by the Hon’ble Minister of Education, Er. TabaTedir, in the presence of other senior officials. Ratna Viswanathan, Chair of the Board, Reach to TeachFoundation said, “We aim to strengthen learning outcomes with a focus on bringing up the performance by children in the Xth and XIIth Board Exams.”
