Gajoldoba, 23rd December: Recently the newly opened Gajoldoba Bridge was closed soon after its inauguration. Consequently, the tourists actually faced a ‘No Entry’ board while entering the new bridge. According to reports, the Gajoldoba Bridge, which was constructed as a replica of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, was closed a few days after its inauguration, and barricades have been installed. As a result, the tourists could be seen disappointed. Administration sources revealed that the work of the said bridge was incomplete for which the traffic over the bridge has been halted. Speaking in this regard, Rajganj MLA and Vice Chairman of Gajoldoba Development Authority (GDA) Khageswar Roy stated that the bridge has been closed due to some incomplete work. He added that the bridge will be fully functional ahead of the New Year.
This is actually very good news as high quality bridge is constructed in Gajoldoba and people are actually wanted to see it which is making it popular. In reality we need this type of construction so that good development happens. Actually North Bengal is very beautiful place but many people don’t know about this place. In fact North Bengal has a great potential to attract tourist and make an impression in the world. For this reason this type of construction should be encouraged so that more development happens here.
