SME companies chronicled on NSE Emerge platform extends One Lakh Crore Market

India’s leading stock exchange, National Stock Exchange (NSE) witnesses One Lakh Crore Market Capitalization on NSE Emerge platform for the very first time. Since its inception in 2012, NSE SME platform has acted as a catalyst in providing a viable and sustainable opportunity for growing small and medium enterprises of our country.

The NSE Emerge index, which has listed 397 companies with over 7,800 Crores in funding, has seen a 39.78% CAGR since November 2023, indicating the significant contribution of the SME sector to the overall economic growth of the country, with 166 companies from 19 sectors listed so far.

NSE has increased its NSE Emerge criteria for SME listed companies migration to its mainboard platform, promoting higher-quality companies with a wider regulatory compliance learning curve, with 138 companies currently migrated. Shri Sriram Krishnan, Chief Business Development Officer, NSE said, “We at NSE are committed to facilitate fundraising opportunities for upcoming organizations to chart their growth stories and make capital markets more accessible. We urge Indian MSMEs to explore the alternative source of raising capital through NSE Emerge.”
