Škoda launches new Kushaq with enhanced safety, features; prices start at ₹10.69 lakh

Škoda Auto India has launched the upgraded ‘Easy to Love’ new Kushaq, introducing enhanced safety, new features and competitive pricing as part of its strategy to make European technology more accessible in India. The SUV range starts at ₹10.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available in five variants — Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. The refreshed Kushaq brings segment-first features such as an eight-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a rear seat massager, along with over 40 safety features including rain-sensing wipers and auto-dimming IRVMs as standard. It continues with turbocharged petrol engines — 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI — delivering up to 110 kW power and paired with manual and automatic options.

The entry-level Classic+ variant offers six airbags and multiple premium features, while higher trims add a panoramic sunroof, digital cockpit and advanced infotainment systems. The range-topping Monte Carlo variant highlights sporty design elements and performance-focused features. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, said the new Kushaq focuses on delivering value, safety and driving dynamics across variants, making advanced technology accessible to a wider customer base.

The competitive pricing and improved feature list are expected to strengthen the Kushaq’s position in the compact SUV segment, where demand for feature-rich and safe vehicles is steadily rising. Industry observers note that buyers in the region are increasingly prioritising automatic transmissions and safety ratings, aligning well with the new Kushaq’s offerings.
