Škoda Auto India has sold over 1,00,000 cars in the last two years, thanks to its India-centric product strategy. The company launched two world-class models, Kushaq and Slavia, which helped achieve these volumes, which took the company over six years to reach. These models have been instrumental in the company’s sales growth.
The year 2022 was a record-breaking one for Škoda Auto India, following the two big launches of Kushaq and Slavia. In 2023, the momentum was slightly hampered by supply issues and related constraints. While working towards a full recovery, Škoda achieved sales of 48,755unitsin the period from January 1 to December 31, 2023. Speaking on the sales performance, Petr Janeba, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “We will continue with our laser-sharp focus on customer delight, as we welcome new customers into the Škoda family.”
The company strengthened its products with the Kodiaq, which saw a 100% jump over 2022, and recorded an all-time high annual sales volume. India remains a key market for Škoda Auto, one of the largest markets outside Europe. From 120 customer touchpoints in 2021, 260 touchpoints were reached by the end of 2023.
