Electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy has expanded its footprint in eastern India with the launch of its first Simple Store in Siliguri. The outlet, established in partnership with CTA Connect, operates as a 3S facility offering sales, service and spares under one roof to deliver a comprehensive customer experience. Spread across 2,400 sq. ft., the store has been designed with a modern and customer-centric layout to offer an immersive brand experience. It showcases products from Simple Energy’s portfolio, including the newly launched Simple One Gen 2 (5 kWh) and Simple OneS Gen 2 electric scooters. The Simple One Gen 2 (5 kWh) delivers an IDC range of 265 km, while the Simple OneS Gen 2 offers an IDC range of 191 km. The outlet also stocks a range of accessories for customers.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, said the launch marks an important step in strengthening the company’s presence in eastern India. He said Siliguri, being a key gateway to the Northeast, presents strong potential for electric mobility and the new 3S setup will help bring the company’s products and after-sales services closer to customers.
Currently, Simple Energy operates 63 outlets across cities including Bengaluru, Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Agra, Goa, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Kochi and Chennai. The company is ramping up its pan-India expansion and plans to enter Nagpur, Ranchi and Bhubaneshwar in the coming months.
Siliguri is emerging as a strategic hub for electric mobility in eastern India due to its connectivity with North Bengal and the Northeast. Industry observers say the city’s growing urban mobility needs and increasing awareness about sustainable transport could drive demand for electric two-wheelers in the region.
The Simple One Gen 2 (5 kWh) is priced from ₹1,77,999 (ex-showroom, Siliguri), while the Simple OneS Gen 2 is priced at ₹1,49,999 (ex-showroom, Siliguri). Customers can visit the store located at Holding No. 136/2088/1, Ground Floor, Sevoke Road, Opposite City Style, 2nd Mile, Siliguri, Darjeeling district, West Bengal, or book test rides and scooters online through the company’s website.
