shops destroyed in fire outbreak

A massive fire broke out at Jorhat, Chow Bazaar, Assam, no casualty reported during the outbreak, Police informed.

According to sources, 150 shops were destroyed and 25 fire tenders reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The fire is suspected to have started from an electrical short circuit in a shop, which quickly spread to the crowded market.

Also the most destroyed shops were grocery and clothing shops, according to the report.
