In India, the protection and advancement of human rights have been greatly aided by the supreme court, according to Supreme Court justice Hima Kohli, who made the statement on Saturday.
She was addressing at the New Law College, Bharati Vidyapeeth University’s 11th Justice P N Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition on Human Rights.
“As the highest court in the land, the Indian Supreme Court has made a significant contribution to the upholding, defending, and advancing of human rights in India. Several important rulings have been handed down throughout the years to deepen and broaden the meaning of human rights, “added Judge Kohli.
