Royal Enfield unveils Classic 650 in India: A bold new chapter in mid-size motorcycles

Royal Enfield has launched the much-awaited Classic 650, a premium addition to its legendary Classic series, at a starting price of ₹3,37,000 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The new model blends timeless elegance with modern performance, offering an upgraded riding experience on Royal Enfield’s globally awarded 650cc twin motor platform. Bookings, test rides, and sales begin today across India.

Designed to retain the iconic Royal Enfield DNA, the Classic 650 features a sporty stance, wider tyres, Showa suspension, LED headlamp with tiger lamps, and a digital LCD dashboard. The motorcycle is available in four colour variants – Vallam Red, Bruntingthorpe Blue, Teal, and Black Chrome – with the top-end model priced at ₹3,50,000. B Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, stated, “The Classic 650 is a tribute to our rich legacy, offering effortless performance, refined craftsmanship, and a timeless design that resonates with riders seeking power and sophistication.”

With Siliguri emerging as a key motorcycle market in eastern India, the Classic 650 is expected to drive strong demand among touring enthusiasts and premium segment buyers. Given its strategic location as a gateway to the Northeast and the Himalayas, Siliguri’s market is inclined towards powerful, long-distance motorcycles, making the Classic 650 an attractive choice. Royal Enfield’s extensive dealership network and exclusive finance and exchange offers under REOWN will further boost its sales momentum in the region.
