The 2nd National Floor Curling Championship 2023 concluded in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday, 21st May 2023. Religare, a leading financial services company, supported the event, bringing together 205 participants from all over India.
Shri Pema Khandu, Dr Rashmi Saluja, and Padma Shree Yogeshwar Dutt attended the closing ceremony of the Championship, which was attended by prominent figures. Curling, a sport that involves sliding stones on ice, has immense potential in India, and the success of the 2nd National Floor Curling Championship 2023 highlights its importance.
The Arunachal Pradesh Curling Association organised a sporting event under the aegis of the CFI, showcasing their ability to put together a spectacle of sport. After intense battles on the ice, Andhra Pradesh emerged as the winner, followed by Arunachal Pradesh securing second place and Haryana securing third. Dr Rashmi Saluja, Executive Chairperson of Religare Enterprises Ltd. & President of CFI said, “We believe that by opening our doors to promote Curling, we will provide a platform for young athletes to excel and help them foster an environment of holistic growth through sports.”
