The concept that future battles will be small and quick has been disproved, and the need of “hard power” has been underlined, according to Chief of Army Staff Gen. Manoj Pande. The significance of indigenous defence production and technological development was also emphasised by Gen. Pande. He warned about India’s “history of unsettled borders” and emphasised the concept of “grey-zone aggression,” saying it is quickly becoming into a preferred technique for settling conflicts, in his speech on Wednesday at the “PHDCCI DEF X TECH INDIA 2023.” The importance of hard force is reinforced by the fact that the land is still the main battleground and the foundation of success.
