Recently visually impaired Biswadeep Soren achieves self-reliance through incense stick sales in Siliguri

In a remarkable display of determination, Biswadeep Soren actually overcame all odds and achieved self-reliance by selling incense sticks despite being visually impaired. Biswadeep operates his business by navigating through the streets of Siliguri, offering incense sticks to passersby. Despite the absence of sight since childhood, Biswadeep has been determined in his journey to attain self-reliance. He was enrolled in Bidhan Nagar’s school for the visually impaired at the age of 8 where he completed his education up to the 12th grade.

Actually with a stick in one hand and incense sticks in the other, Biswadeep embarks on a journey from Bidhan Nagar to Siliguri to operate his business. Reportedly, he sells four dozen incense sticks every day in Siliguri before returning to Bidhan Nagar. In fact reflecting on his journey, Biswadeep expressed gratitude for the stick that aids him in walking through the path from Bidhannagar to Siliguri. Actually when asked about potential exploitation due to his blindness, Biswadeep highlighted his belief in people and the importance of trust in life.
