Recently theft occur in Siliguri’s Tikiapara area during Chhath Puja celebrations

In yet another incident of theft during Chhath Puja, some thieves took advantage of a vacant residence and made off with valuables. Actually the incident took place in Siliguri’s Tikiapara area under Ward No. 28 at the residence of Suraj Basfore. Reportedly, Basfore and his family actually had left for the ghats for Chhath Puja. In fact the house was left unattended when a group of thieves broke into the house, forced open the door, and stole gold jewelry and cash from the wardrobe before fleeing the scene.

Right now upon receiving the complaint, the Siliguri police launched an investigation into the incident.  This is very bad incident and it is need to be taken very seriously so that people feel safe. Today this type of incident has become very common and it is actually making people life difficult. In fact people should take it very strictly and inform about it if they find anything suspicious so that people don’t see this type of incidents.
