India’s infrastructure and logistics industries are undergoing an unparalleled transition, according to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, which is providing a solid basis for the nation’s economic growth. “The stronger the logistics services, the stronger our borders remain,” Singh stated in a virtual speech at the third Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya convocation in Vadodara. Rajnath Singh highlighted the government’s efforts, stating that they had greatly lowered logistics costs and promoted data-driven decision-making. Examples of these initiatives include the establishment of multimodal transport hubs and the implementation of mission mode schemes.

Union Minister for Railways and Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Ashwini Vaishnaw, highlighted transformational changes in Indian Railways over the last 11 years, including a 5,300 km rail network expansion and 368 km tunnel construction. He emphasized building human resources through educational institutions like Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, signed MoUs with 40 institutions, and encouraged students to support a developed India by 2047.
