In a move to enhance child nutrition, the Rajganj Block Administration launched a special initiative on Monday, distributing boiled eggs to nearly 200 students from rural schools. The program was personally overseen by Rajganj BDO Prashant Barman, who handed out the eggs himself. Rajganj Police ASI Bapi Rahman was also present at the event.
Students from Rajganj SP Primary School, Rajganj Bandar Primary School, Fatapukur Junior Basic School, and another nearby school benefited from the initiative.
BDO Barman emphasized that providing such nutritious supplements alongside the regular mid-day meals would help boost the students’ energy and concentration levels. He noted that healthier children are more likely to perform well in their studies and stay motivated in class.
Teachers responded positively to the program, expressing appreciation for its focus on both nutrition and awareness. They highlighted the importance of such efforts in improving the health and learning environment for children in rural areas, where access to additional nutrition can often be limited.
