Rajganj, July 02: In yet another incident of wildlife-human conflict, residents of Rajganj are in panic after a wild elephant attacked them on Monday night. The incident came to light from Menghora area of Mantadari Gram Panchayat adjacent to Baikunthpur forest of Rajganj block.
Local sources have revealed that at 3 o’clock on Monday night, a herd of four wild elephants created a ruckus in Menghora area and badly damaged a house. Additionally, the herd uprooted many trees in the area and eventually returned to the forest.
Fortunately, there were no reports of any casualties or injuries as a result of the incident. Meanwhile, after receiving the news, forest officials of Ambari Range reached the spot on Tuesday morning.
